Chilliwack BC - August 8, 2007: The Chilliwack Bruins of the WHL are pleased to announce a partnership with The Team 1040 Radio Station.

With this partnership, the Bruins will continue to broadcast all of their games on 88.1 FM, Bruin Radio, and will also broadcast all regular season and playoff games on www.team1040.ca . In addition, the Bruins will also broadcast their first game of the season live versus the Kamloops Blazers on the Team 1040, Friday, September 21, 2007, at 7 pm.

"The Chilliwack Bruins are pleased to partner with the Team 1040," comments Barry Douglas, Bruins Director of Marketing. "With the addition of our broadcast to the Team 1040 online lineup, we believe that this will greatly enhance our ability to connect with our fans, not just in Chilliwack, but throughout the Fraser Valley."

The Bruins are also re-launching the team's website, www.chilliwackbruins.com , this Friday. The new look website will be user friendly, and will be a major hub to the multimedia approach that the Bruins are looking to deploy this season.

Dave Sheldon, the Bruins Director of Broadcast and Media, explains, "The Chilliwack Bruins web presence will be a major tool in getting our message across to all of our fans this upcoming season. Our website will allow us to combine all of our media partners, whether it is newspaper, radio, television or internet, and present our fans all of these great options on one great site."

"All of our broadcasts will feature a new and improved media player. With the help of our web cast partner INSINC, not only will our fans be able to listen to the games, but they will have visual interaction of the game thru our "Slidecast' that will accompany each broadcast," Sheldon continues. "As each game develops, from pre-game, to the drop of the puck, each goal...all of these elements will now be enhanced visually through the Bruins web cast."

The Chilliwack Bruins kick off their pre-season against the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday, August 31st, in Everett, WA. As mentioned, the Bruins regular season begins in Kamloops versus the Blazers on September 21st.
