Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and Interactive Netcasting Systems Inc. (INSINC) are partnering once again to bring hockey fans all OHL 680 regular season games. This will be the third year of the program which has brought OHL fans closer to the action by broadcasting over 800 OHL regular season and playoff games. The program broadcasts games live on the Internet as well as making archived games available all on a pay-per-view (PPV) broadband basis. The webcasting initiative begins once again on Thursday night with the kick-off of the 2006-07 season in Barrie where the Colts take on the Toronto St. Michael's Majors and in Peterborough where the defending OHL Champion Petes, play host to the Brampton Battalion. Webcasts for all teams will be made available from the OHL website located at http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com Single game broadcasts can be purchased for only $5.95 while monthly and season passes are also available. A specially priced season ticket holder pass is also available for season ticket holders who would like to watch all of their team's away games. The details of all available packages can be found on the OHL website or by following the following link, http://livestream.ontariohockeyleague.com "With the tremendous growth of the Internet, and the majority of Canadian Internet connections now broadband, we believe this to be the ideal way for the OHL to reach out and bring more value to our fans," said OHL Commissioner David Branch. "This program gives our fans, as well as the family and friends of our players the opportunity to watch all of our games live on the Internet. It also provides the opportunity to use this program for pre-scouting purposes and as a development tool for our players and officials." Reported September 19, 2007 in OurSports Central |
